The last couple of weeks have been a bit brutal on my fiction writing schedule. My writing coach, Lori DeBoer, assures me I'm normal for sinking into a mud puddle of doubt sometimes. The key is to remember the mud is just external. It doesn't make me who I am or even express what kind of writer I am. It's just there, part of the process, part of being creative and having the kind of critical voice that likes to throw mud balls.
As I'm thinking about it, a mud fight sounds kinda fun right about now.
